Account

Account is the personal page for the signed-in Putaway WMS user. From here, you can view your own account details, login history, sign-in methods, and personal preferences.

The page opens from the account menu and has three areas:

  • Profile
  • Authentication
  • Preferences

This page is only for the signed-in user. It is not used to manage other users, change roles, or assign warehouses. For those actions, an administrator uses Company -> Users.

The Profile area shows the main account details:

  • first name;
  • last name;
  • email address;
  • Putaway WMS role;
  • account creation date;
  • last login IP, when available;
  • number of failed login attempts;
  • warehouses assigned to you.

The fields are informational. Name, role, and warehouse assignments are not changed from this page.

The email address can be changed from Profile by pressing the edit action next to the email field.

The process has several steps:

  1. Enter the new email address.
  2. Putaway WMS sends a 6-digit code to the current email address.
  3. Enter the code in the verification window.
  4. Putaway WMS sends a confirmation link to the new email address.
  5. Open the link from the email to complete the change.

The new address must be valid, different from the current address, and not already used by another account. If an email change is already in progress, the window opens directly at the code entry step.

The verification code is valid for 10 minutes. You can request another code after the wait time shown in the window. The link sent to the new email address is valid for 24 hours.

Changing the email address always requires the code sent to the current email address, even if two-factor authentication is not enabled for sign-in.

If you request too many codes in a short time, Putaway WMS asks you to wait before trying again.

The Profile area also includes the login history. It shows recent attempts to enter the account.

Each row shows:

  • log ID;
  • date and time;
  • IP address;
  • reported device or browser;
  • whether the attempt succeeded;
  • reason for the entry.

Reasons can include successful login, successful Google login, 2FA verification required, account not activated, wrong password, disabled account, automatic lockout after too many attempts, IP restriction, logout, or automatic logout after inactivity.

The list is paginated. You can change how many rows are shown on a page.

The Authentication area contains settings that control how you enter the account:

  • changing the password;
  • restricting access by IP;
  • connecting or disconnecting Google;
  • enabling or disabling two-factor authentication.

To change the password, fill in:

  • old password;
  • new password;
  • new password confirmation.

The new password must meet the security requirements:

  • at least 8 characters;
  • lowercase letter;
  • uppercase letter;
  • number;
  • special character;
  • no spaces at the beginning or end;
  • strong enough not to be easy to guess.

The confirmation must match the new password. If the old password is wrong or the new password does not meet the rules, the change is refused.

After the password is changed, Putaway WMS sends you back to the sign-in page. Sign in again with the new password.

This option limits account access to one allowed IP address.

  • If you enter a valid IP, future sign-ins to the account are allowed only from that IP.
  • If you leave the field empty and save, the restriction is removed.

The field accepts an IPv4 address, for example 203.0.113.10.

In Authentication, you can connect a Google account.

If Google is not connected, use the connect action and follow the steps shown by Google. After completion, Putaway WMS returns you to the Account page, in the Authentication area.

If Google is already connected, the page shows the linked address and the disconnect action.

A Google account can be linked only once. If that Google account is already connected to another user, the connection is refused. Google sign-in works only after the Google account has been connected here.

Two-factor authentication adds a verification code when signing in with a password.

When it is enabled:

  1. Enter your email and password on sign-in.
  2. Putaway WMS sends a 6-digit code by email.
  3. Enter the code to complete sign-in.

The code is valid for 10 minutes. If it expires, request a new one.

Enabling 2FA is done directly from Account -> Authentication. Disabling it requires confirmation with a code sent by email. If an administrator has enforced two-factor authentication for all users, disabling is blocked and the page shows an informational message.

If you request 2FA codes too often, Putaway WMS asks you to wait before sending another code.

The Preferences area controls how your account looks and behaves.

You can choose:

  • theme: Light, Dark, or System;
  • interface language: English or Romanian;
  • in-app notifications;
  • available email notifications.

These settings apply to the signed-in user. They do not change stock, orders, documents, warehouses, or other users’ settings.

Depending on the user’s role and access, the following notifications can appear:

NotificationWhen it helps
Receiving zone closed for goods receiving noteNotifies you when a receiving zone was closed for the document step.
Receiving zone unlocked because scanned quantities do not match the documentNotifies you when there are differences that need checking.
Receiving zone unlocked for putaway processNotifies you when goods can be moved onward from receiving.
Products with stock below minimum allowedHelps you track products that dropped below the minimum limit.
New support ticket createdNotifies you when a new ticket appears, if you have ticket access.

If a notification is not shown in the list, your account does not have access to that event type or that notification type is not available for the current role.

The email area includes the daily notification for products with stock below the minimum allowed.

If it is enabled, Putaway WMS can send a daily email when products have dropped below the minimum limit. If it is disabled, do not rely on email for this check and review the low stock page directly in the application.
