Picking report

Picking report shows picking activity for the selected period. It is used to see how many orders, lines, and units were picked and how long picking takes.

The report is useful for supervisors when they need to verify whether the Picking step keeps pace with orders entering the flow.

To open the report, go to Reports -> Picking report.

The page loads for the current warehouse. If the user has access to multiple warehouses, they can switch to global view.

The report uses:

  • From date: the first day included in the report;
  • To date: the last day included in the report;
  • Show global, if access to multiple warehouses exists.

After changing the period, press Apply filters.

The report displays:

  • picked orders;
  • orders cancelled in picking;
  • orders with stock error;
  • picked lines;
  • picked units;
  • picked lines that were cancelled;
  • picked units that were cancelled;
  • average active picking time;
  • average picking wait time;
  • average total picking cycle time.
IndicatorWhat it means
Picked ordersNumber of orders for which picking was completed in the selected period.
Orders cancelled in pickingOrders cancelled after entering the picking flow.

Picked units cancelledPicked units that were later cancelled or marked for return to stock.
Average active picking timeAverage time from picking start to picking completion.
Average picking wait timeAverage time from sending the order to picking until the picker actually starts work.
Average picking cycle timeAverage time from sending the order to picking until picking is completed.

Use this report when:

  • orders get stuck before packing;
  • operators say they cannot find products;
  • many orders show stock errors;
  • picked volume must be compared between warehouses;
  • active picking duration must be checked.

Picked orders show the positive output from the picking step. Orders cancelled in picking and stock errors show operational issues that need investigation.

Picked lines and picked units show the real work volume. An order with many lines can take much more time than an order with one product.

Average active time shows the duration after the operator starts picking. Wait time shows how long the order waits before it is taken. Cycle time combines waiting and activity.

Check Order cycle report and Warehouse performance report. The bottleneck can be order allocation, stock availability, or picking capacity.

Check Stock, Stock history, and Traceability. The report shows the issue, but the cause must be traced by product, location, and order.

This is not necessarily a problem. It can indicate that operators worked on large orders with many different products.

Orders wait too long before picking starts. Check planning, operator availability, and whether orders are blocked before picking.

Check the number of lines, product placement in the warehouse, handling units, and possible product-finding issues.

The report does not replace checking an individual order. For an exact cause, open the order and check its operational history.

The report does not automatically confirm that the operator handled every line correctly. It shows the aggregated result of recorded events.

  • Do not compare users only by order count if lines and units are very different.
  • For stock errors, check Traceability, Stock, and the order detail.
  • If wait time is high, the problem can be before the operator: allocation, stock availability, or planning.
