Pallets

Pallets are handling units for goods placed on a pallet. A pallet can contain products directly or boxes placed on the pallet.

The pallet has its own code and is scanned as a separate unit when goods are received, moved, or checked.

The Pallets page displays cards with:

  • pallet code;
  • status: Empty, Open, or Sealed;
  • print and delete actions, where allowed.

Selecting the card copies the pallet code.

  1. Open Handling units → Pallets.
  2. Press Add.
  3. Putaway WMS creates the pallet and assigns a code.
  4. Print the label.
  5. Attach the label to the physical pallet.

If previously deleted pallets exist, Putaway WMS may suggest restoring them. Restore only if the physical pallet and code can be reused correctly.

For one pallet, use the print button on its card.

For multiple pallets, use Print multiple labels, select the pallets, and confirm printing.

A pallet can be:

  • scanned directly into a receiving location;
  • used as a destination for products;
  • used as a carrier for boxes;
  • moved as one unit between locations;
  • sealed and unsealed in flows that allow these actions.

A pallet is not placed inside another pallet or inside a container.

In receiving, a pallet cannot be sealed if it has empty boxes inside or if the units inside contain products with different conditions.

  • Do not use a pallet without a label.
  • Do not attach one pallet label to another pallet.
  • A pallet can be deleted only when it is empty.
  • If the pallet is sealed, do not change the products inside it until it is unsealed.
  • For suspicious movements, check Handling unit logs and Traceability.
