Notifications
Notifications is where you see important messages sent to your Putaway WMS account.
Open notifications from the bell in the application bar or from the Notifications page. The bell shows the number of unread messages and the latest loaded messages. The Notifications page shows the most recent messages for the current user.
Notifications are for quick work. They do not replace the full operational history. For detailed checks, use the page for the related activity: receiving, putaway, stock, orders, imports, tickets, or reports.
How Notifications Appear
Section titled “How Notifications Appear”When Putaway WMS sends a new message to the signed-in user, the bell updates and a short notification sound may play.
If the live connection is interrupted, the bell may show OFFLINE or OFFLINE - Reconnecting…. In that case, messages reload when you open the bell, open the Notifications page, or when the application reconnects.
The bell shows the latest 5 messages from the loaded list. The Notifications page loads the most recent 20 messages. Messages are ordered from newest to oldest.
What A Notification Shows
Section titled “What A Notification Shows”The list shows:
- notification title;
- message type: information, warning, error, or success;
- received date and time, displayed in the browser’s local format;
- read or unread state;
- full message after opening;
- ticket link, when the message is about a ticket.
An unread notification is highlighted in the list. When you open it, Putaway WMS marks it as read and saves the read time.
Available Actions
Section titled “Available Actions”From the Notifications page you can:
- open a notification to see the full message;
- mark one notification as read;
- mark one read notification as unread;
- delete one notification;
- select all displayed notifications;
- mark the selection as read or unread;
- delete the selection;
- mark all unread notifications as read.
If the same notification was changed or deleted from another window, the action may be refused. Reload the list and try again.
Account Settings
Section titled “Account Settings”In Account -> Preferences you control the notifications that have visible switches for your user. If you do not see an option, your account usually does not have permission for that activity.
For in-app notifications, these options can appear:
| Option | When it is useful |
|---|---|
| Receiving zone closed for GRN | When you need to know that a receiving zone was closed after receiving was finished. |
| Receiving zone reopened because of differences | When you need to recount or check a receiving flow where quantities do not match the document. |
| Receiving zone ready for putaway | When the GRN was generated and goods can move forward to putaway. |
| Products with stock below minimum | When a product drops below the configured minimum stock. |
For email, there is a Daily notifications for products with stock below minimum option. Emails are not read on the Notifications page; this page shows in-app messages.
When a new client or user is created, in-app notifications for receiving and minimum stock are enabled by default. The daily minimum-stock email is disabled by default.
Receiving Notifications
Section titled “Receiving Notifications”Putaway WMS can send receiving messages in these situations:
| Situation | What it means for the user |
|---|---|
| Receiving zone was closed | Receiving was finished for that zone, and the zone can no longer be used for normal additions or corrections until the next step. |
| Receiving zone was reopened because of differences | Document quantities do not match the scanned goods. The zone must be checked again. |
| Receiving zone is ready for putaway | The GRN was generated, the zone was released for putaway, and the message can include the GRN number. |
Receiving notifications are sent only to users who are allowed to work with that operation and that warehouse. The person who performed the action usually does not receive their own confirmation message, because they see the result directly on screen.
Stock Notifications
Section titled “Stock Notifications”The Stock below minimum notification appears when a product with a configured minimum threshold drops below that threshold.
In the verified flow, this notification is triggered after an adjustment decreases available stock. Putaway WMS checks the product, the available-to-sell stock, and the minimum threshold set on the product. If the available stock is still equal to or above the minimum, no notification is sent.
The message includes the product, SKU, available stock, and minimum threshold.
Ticket Notifications
Section titled “Ticket Notifications”Ticket notifications appear for people involved in the ticket:
| Situation | Who can receive the message |
|---|---|
| New ticket reply | People following the ticket, except the person who wrote the reply. |
| Ticket claimed | People following the ticket, except the person who claimed it. |
| Ticket assigned | The user the ticket was assigned to, if another person assigned it. |
| User removed from ticket | The removed user, if another person removed them. |
| Status changed | People following the ticket, except the person who changed the status. |
When the notification is about a ticket, the message can include a direct ticket link.
Import And Integration Notifications
Section titled “Import And Integration Notifications”Some messages are sent directly to the person who started the operation, so they know how it ended:
| Operation | Possible messages |
|---|---|
| Product import | Import completed, import completed with issues, or import failed. The message includes the file name and number of processed rows. |
| MerchantPro - catalog | Catalog import completed or failed, import to Putaway WMS completed or failed, import/apply results for categories, brands, units, attributes, and attribute values, stock export completed. |
| Gomag - catalog | Catalog import completed or failed, import to Putaway WMS completed or failed, import/apply results for categories, brands, units, attributes, and attribute values, stock export completed. |
These messages help the user know whether they must review the result, correct data, or restart an operation.
Order Notifications
Section titled “Order Notifications”Putaway WMS can send warnings when an order needs manual review:
| Situation | What to check |
|---|---|
| MerchantPro order without enough stock | The order could not be sent to any warehouse because there is not enough available stock for all products. |
| MerchantPro integration deactivated | The active MerchantPro subscription expired, and the store integration must be reactivated after it is resolved. |
| MerchantPro update blocked | The order has already reached a stage where some changes can no longer be applied automatically. |
| MerchantPro invoice could not be generated | The invoice must be checked manually. |
| MerchantPro delivered order without imported invoice | Invoicing must be checked manually. |
| MerchantPro cancellation requires manual processing | The order was canceled in MerchantPro, but in Putaway WMS it is already in an advanced step and must be handled manually. |
| MerchantPro cancellation blocked for shipped order | The order can no longer be canceled automatically because it was already shipped. |
| Canceled order requires manual return to stock | The order was canceled after it had reached packing or awaiting shipment, and the products must be handled manually. |
These warnings go to users responsible for orders or integrations, depending on their access rights.
Customer Data Anonymization Notifications
Section titled “Customer Data Anonymization Notifications”When you start customer or order data anonymization, you can receive a message when it finishes.
The message shows that the operation ended and how many orders or customer records were affected. Use it as a signal to check the result in orders or customers, if needed.
Limitations
Section titled “Limitations”Notifications are not a full warehouse log and do not replace reports.
Not every message has its own switch in Account -> Preferences. Some important results are sent directly to the person who started the action or to the responsible person.
The Notifications page is not an audit page, does not have advanced filters, and does not show all operational details. For investigations, use the page where the event happened.
